Nutribody Protein ® is unlike any protein health supplement on the market. It is a non-soy, all vegetarian protein that has all the high protein benefits of a dairy/whey protein without the digestive side effects or cholesterol. It has all the natural health advantages of a soy protein, but Nutribody’s vegan protein powder is a scientifically designed blend of rice and pea protein to offer higher Protein Efficiency Ratio, no allergies, and will not disturb hormone balances. Then we added a clinically proven, highly effective amino acid, Citrulline Malate, to optimize circulation and reduce fatigue. The end result is not just another protein, but Bio Digestible, nutrient-rich, high-performance, Nutribody Protein ®.*

Note: The current batch of Nutribody is slightly darker in color than the last batch. The powder is denser, which means it packs down more. When the powder settles it drops down to half the bottle. This is not a concern. The fill rate on each bottle is measured and weighed to make sure it is correct.

Mix 1 scoop (4 rounded tbsp) of Nutribody Protein ® with your favorite juice or add to fruit to make a smoothie! Best if taken throughout the day in a shake or mixed in a meal. For active adults, consume 0.5 grams of protein per pound of weight per day. For maximum strength athletes, consume 0.8 grams of protein (or more) per pound of body weight per day. Your body will thank you.

Organic Sprouted Brown Rice Protein

Brown rice protein is high in cysteine and methionine, but tends to be low in lysine. Yellow pea protein, on the other hand, tends to be low in the sulfur containing amino acids, cysteine and methionine ‐ but is high in lysine. The bottom line is that when used in combination, brown rice protein and yellow pea protein offer a Protein Efficiency Ratio that begins to rival dairy and egg – but without their potential to promote allergic reactions, gas or bloating. The end product is 80% or higher in protein and unlike dairy, whey, soy, or egg proteins, is 100% hypoallergenic. It is highly soluble and mixes easily into water, juice, or foods.

Organic Pea Protein

Brown rice protein is high in cysteine and methionine, but tends to be low in lysine. Yellow pea protein, on the other hand, tends to be low in the sulfur containing amino acids, cysteine and methionine; but is high in lysine. The bottom line is that when used in combination, brown rice protein and yellow pea protein offer a Protein Efficiency Ratio that begins to rival dairy and egg, but without their potential to promote allergic reactions, gas or bloating. The end product is 80% or higher in protein and unlike dairy, whey, soy, or egg proteins, is 100% hypoallergenic. It is highly soluble and mixes easily into water, juice, or foods.

Organic Guar Gum

If you have been using protein for some time, you know that the typical chalky taste of protein powder is hard to swallow. Just a small amount of guar gum allows for a higher concentration of protein to remain in suspension when the formula is mixed with liquid. (See how quickly other rice and pea formulas "settle out" when mixed with water.) Guar provides added fiber, but most importantly it dramatically improves the taste of the formula, and the flavor of food becomes paramount in maintaining a healthy, balanced diet.

High Oleic Monounsaturated Sunflower Oil Powder

Monounsaturated fat is considered to be one of the healthiest types of general fat. It has none of the adverse effects associated with saturated fats, trans-fats or omega-6 polyunsaturated vegetable oils.

Natural Vanilla Flavoring

Vanilla is the second most expensive spice after saffron because of the extensive labor required to grow the seed pods used in its manufacture. Synthetic vanilla, however, is more commonly used in foods as a substitute due to its cheaper cost. Synthetic vanilla is made from either the petrochemical guaiacol or from lignin, a constituent of wood and a byproduct of the paper industry. Natural vanilla certainly adds to the cost of Nutribody Protein ®, but we felt you were worth it.

L-Citrulline Malate

Citrulline malate is a salt form of the amino acid L-citrulline.  It supports the body in optimizing blood flow through its conversion to L-arginine and then nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is involved in vasodilatation, and low levels are associated with mental and physical fatigue (and sexual dysfunction). The malate, or malic acid, which is combined with the Citrulline, is found in fruits such as apples and enhances the effects of citrulline. Studies indicate that supplementation with citrulline malate may improve aerobic performance and capacity. Citrulline malate appears to work by influencing lactic acid metabolism and reducing fatigue.

Organic Stevia Extract 98% Reb A

Whether in dry-leaf or concentrate form, stevia has the wonderful ability to help the body regulate blood sugar. Several researchers have reported that, in these natural forms, stevia seems to correct both high and low blood sugar levels. Other scientists have stated that stevia appears to lower blood pressure, but does not seem to affect normal blood pressure. The one problem associated with stevia, though, is that it tends to have a noticeable aftertaste, which some people find objectionable. But after many months of searching, we were finally able to track down a uniquely processed form of natural stevia that has no aftertaste at all. And that’s what we use in Nutribody Protein ®.

Are any of your products Kosher?

Yes. The products that are Kosher are: Blood Support, Liver Flush Tea, Metal Magic, Warp Speed, Men’s Formula, Women’s Formula, Immunify, and Nutribody Protein.

Do you have an Allergen statement?
This product is not manufactured with milk, egg, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts or soy. It is produced in a GMP facility that processes some of these allergens. As part of GMP, quality procedures to prevent cross contamination and allergen contamination include separate warehousing, special air handling systems, physical separators, robust cleaning procedures, residue testing after cleaning, equipment surface swabs, etc. The standard operating procedures ensure compliance with current FDA guidelines and requirements for allergen control.
Is the Nutribody Protein Third Party Tested?

Yes, we test for: Low Heavy Metals in Nutribody Protein -

We are proud to say that Baseline Nutritionals has been testing its Nutribody Protein for heavy metal content for years.

In fact, we test every batch of Nutribody Protein with an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Accredited laboratory. Test results show that we have one of the lowest heavy metal counts found for a product based on rice protein. That is not an accident, it is by design. We use the best ingredients available with the lowest heavy metal count, despite the high cost. You get what you pay for. Then again, would you have expected anything less from Baseline Nutritionals?

Now, that said, it is important to note that as low as the levels are, all of the heavy metals in Nutribody Protein exist in what is known as an "organic" form. That is: they are bound to the plant material itself and do not substantially release into the body. In that sense, they are very different from "inorganic" heavy metals as found in some drinking water, or fish, or dairy products, or sprayed on fruits as part of pesticides. Inorganic heavy metals do, in fact, readily release into the body. This difference between organic and inorganic heavy metals is a vital health distinction that even the FDA recognizes.

Here are the test results for the current batch of Nutribody Protein. Note the ppm stands for parts per million. New and Improved Nutribody Protein is now better, cleaner and healthier than ever.

Verify Protein Content in Nutribody -
We are one of the few companies to verify the protein content in our protein powder. Believe it not, there are some companies that do not check the protein content and it can be wildly less than what is on the label. For your peace of mind we test our Nutribody Protein so you know that what is on the label is in the product.

Label states 25g of protein per serving.

Eurofins Scientific Laboratory Report 25.21g of protein per serving.

What is the difference between whey protein and Nutribody's pea & rice protein?

Most protein on the market is based on whey, or whey isolates, and many people experience side effects such as bloating, gas, constipation, acne, and more from these protein supplements. While it is true that whey protein does not contain casein or lactose, whey protein does contain highly concentrated allergens such as alpha-lactalbumin and beta-lactoglobulin, which can trigger a sustained low level reaction. That's the reason so many people feel slightly "off" after taking whey proteins -- or can't consume whey protein for several hours before a workout or event. In addition, whey tends to be very high in cholesterol. But most importantly of all, because whey protein absorbs in less than 2 hours, it can't provide the sustained energy required for weight loss or long-term performance (whereas Nutribody Protein will keep you going for up to four hours). Lastly, new research shows that whey protein can actually contribute to a condition called aminoacidemia which may be a long-term contributing factor in the onset of diabetes.

How is Nutribody the first BioDigestible protein?

One of the greatest benefits of Nutribody's vegan protein powder is that it is hypoallergenic (unlike dairy, whey, soy, or egg based proteins), which means it is highly unlikely that you will have any allergy or digestive problems when using it. This is of special concern for senior citizens. For more information about brown rice and pea protein, as well as the benefits of Citrulline Malate, see Nutribody's nutrition facts.

How do I use Nutribody Protein® to lose weight?
A Nutribody Protein® smoothie provides a healthy high protein, low calorie meal replacement that can be used as part of any weight loss program - especially those looking for vegan protein nutrition. And best of all, because of its high bio-availability and sustained release, it will keep you feeling satisfied for up to four hours - an essential in any weight loss diet. Whey protein tends to be absorbed quickly, leaving you hungry in 1-2 hours - thus forcing you to consume more calories to feel satisfied.
Does Nutribody Protein® have 23 total amino acids and does that include all the essential amino acids?

Nutribody's vegan protein powder contains all nine essential amino acids, plus all the other nonessential amino acids. It is a complete protein source. In addition, the amino acid profiles of rice and pea protein are perfectly complementary. Using them in combination optimizes the amino acid profile, thus providing you with the most complete, bio-available, hypoallergenic protein in the world. It is indeed the world's first Bio Digestible protein.

Could you address the recent studies that show high levels of arsenic present in rice, and in particular brown rice?

Regarding arsenic in rice: As the FDA has stated, there are two types of arsenic: organic and inorganic. To quote the FDA,""The inorganic forms of arsenic are the harmful forms, while the organic forms of arsenic are essentially harmless"".

What they are referring to is that arsenic (and lead for that matter) that are chemically bound to the cellular structure of food (organic to that food), do not readily make their way into the bloodstream after being eaten. Rather, they stay in the food fiber and are passed out with the stool. Inorganic heavy metals, such as those sprayed on the food in pesticides, on the other hand, are bound to nothing and are readily absorbed into the bloodstream. This is a problem with a number of the rice products the FDA recently tested.

The rice we use is Certified Organic and is grown without the use of pesticides. Any heavy metals picked up from the soil are organically bound to the cellular structure of the rice and not readily available. You might find this newsletter from Jon Barron on arsenic and apples informative, Arcenic in apple juice.

How much phosphorus is in the Nutribody Protein?
Rice and pea protein are both extremely low in potassium and phosphorus. In fact, the levels are so low, virtually undetectable, they don't even need to be listed in the Nutrition Facts panel on the label.
I'm concerned about an anti-nutrient present in brown rice called Trypsin inhibitor. Your thoughts?
In rice, the trypsin inhibitor is located primarily in the outer embryo of the rice seed, with a bit in the bran, and none in the polished, milled seed. In making rice protein, none of the bran or outer embryo make their way into the final product -- thus no trypsin inhibitors. But that said, simple logic tells us that you couldn't get the remarkably high protein bioavailability numbers seen with rice protein, if protein absorption was inhibited. Make sense?
Is a full scoop of Nutribody Protein up to the line or all the way to the top of the scoop?
A full scoop of Nutribody Protein is to the very top of the scoop.
Is Sunflower Oil bad for you? Why is it used in the Nutribody Protein?
The amount used in the Nutribody Protein is extremely small (there are only 15 fat calories in each serving, as you've probably already noticed). At that level, it has no negative impact on health, but its use does serve to make the protein more digestible (protein requires some fat present for optimum digestion) and gives the powder a better mouth feel when mixed with juice or water.
