Solisar is a vitamin D supplement for children in the form of a gummy candy flavoured with sun-ripened oranges. One candy contains 10 µg of vitamin D and is developed for children from 3 years of age. Vitamin D is formed in the skin when it is exposed to sunlight, and as the sun is absent all year round, vitamin D supplementation is recommended. Vitamin D is needed for normal development and growth of children's bones. Vitamin D also contributes to normal immune system function in children.
